What types of therapy do you specialize in?Our areas of therapy cover individuals, couples, family, addiction therapy and late-stage recovery. We also offer life coaching as it integrates into many of our therapies.

What types of clients do you typically work with?We work with both adolescent and adult clients.

What are your qualifications and experience?With over 30 years experience, Susan Botello and Brian Washington have been working in private practice for all or most of that time. Susan is a licensed social worker (LICSW, MSW) and Brian is a licensed alcohol and drug counselor and a certified alcohol and drug addiction counselor (CADAC, LADC1).

What is your approach to therapy?We offer an individualized approach to therapy, knowing that each situation is unique. We utilize a relational approach which allows us to connect to our clients and challenge them from that place of connection.

Do you accept private insurance plans?We Balance Behavioral Health is a private pay practice and we do not accept any forms of insurance, but we do accept payments from Health Savings Accounts (HSA). Receipts are provided for clients with non HMO insurance policies and they will be reimbursed directly in accordance with their specific out-of-network benefit plan.

How long are your sessions and how often do they occur?Sessions at We Balance Behavioral Health last 50 minutes. In most cases, we start with weekly sessions and extend the time between sessions as the person or group progresses in treatment.

Do you offer virtual therapy sessions?Yes, We Balance Behavioral Health offers in-person at our offices in Osterville, MA as well as virtual appointments.

What is your cancellation policy?We request that you give a minimum of 24 hour notice if you need to cancel a session.

What can I expect during my first session?This session will be structured to gather background information and set goals for ongoing treatment.

Do you collaborate with other healthcare professionals?We require a client’s consent before we will in any way communicate with collaterals.

What types of addictions do you treat?We treat substance abuse, gambling, video game, food and any addictions driven by compulsive behaviors and obsessive thoughts.
